The decision to cancel classes due to severe weather conditions shall be made by the Superintendent in consultation with the Transportation Supervisor. The decision will normally be reached before 7:00AM and announcements will be made on the following radio stations: CBC (990), CJOB (680), CHSM (1250), CKY (580) and the affiliate FM stations in English and CKSB (1050) in French, and on the Seine River School Division website www.srsd.mb.ca.

if the storm builds up during school hours, schools shall normally not be closed before 3:30PM. Parents who are concerned by road conditions will be permitted to come and pick up their children at school during school hours. If at the end of the school day, buses are unable to return students home, students will either be kept at school or directed to the home designated by the parents or approved by the principal.

Beginning this year, SRSD will have information regarding bus and classes cancellation posted on the national Weather Channel between the hours of 6:00 and 9:00 AM.
